HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. Heavy rain of up to one inch in an hour. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Utica, Rome, Sullivan, Oneonta, Oneida, Kirkland, Lenox, Norwich, Lee, and Verona. This includes the following highway exits... Interstate 90 between 31 and 34. Interstate 88 between 10 and 18. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
